We want WEFC to be a safe place for all children and youth who attend our classes and use our facility. We believe that preventative steps can be taken to promote the safety of children and those who have volunteered to teach and care for them.

Therefore WEFC has a Child Safety and Protection Program. Under this program all people who work with children and youth are screened. All personnel fill out a confidential written application which is reviewed by the Director of Children's Education. Interviews and reference checks are carried out on those volunteers who have never worked with children or youth at WEFC before.

Nursery volunteers are also asked to fill out a shorter application form.
